- Fresh-fruit-flavoured Nicotine Polacrilex Gum is a stop-smoking aid for people who smoke their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up.

Dosage/Directions for Use
Important: For adults only. Not to be used by persons under 18 years of age.
Before use, read the enclosed User’s Guide for complete instructions.
Directions: Stop smoking completely when you begin using the gum. Use Nicotine Gum (2 mg) if you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up. Use Nicotine Gum (4 mg) if you smoke your first cigarette less than 30 minutes after waking up.
Chew one piece of nicotine gum slowly and intermittently for 30 minutes.
Use a chew and park sequence, retaining the gum in the mouth beside the cheek in between chews.
After 30 minutes, discard gum out of the reach of children.
Repeat dose with a new piece of gum when the urge is felt to smoke again.
Do not exceed 20 pieces per day.

Ingredients
Each piece of gum contains: 2 mg of nicotine (nicotine polacrilex).
Non-medicinal ingredients: Acacia, acesulfame potassium, carnauba wax, FD&C blue #2, FD&C red #40, FD&C yellow #6, flavours, gum base, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium oxide, menthol, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sucralose, talc, titanium dioxide, xylitol.
Sucrose-free.
Precautions
Do not use if individual seals are open or torn.
Do not use if you: Are under 18 years of age; continue to smoke, chew tobacco, use snuff or other nicotine products; are a non-smoker or occasional smoker; have temporomandibular joint disorder; are pregnant or nursing a child.
Do not smoke, chew tobacco, use snuff, or use nicotine patches or any other form of nicotine while using nicotine gum.
Consult your doctor before using this product if you have or have had heart, thyroid, circulation,
stomach, or throat or mouth problems, angina, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, high blood pressure, or if you are taking insulin or any prescription medicine or if you have had stomach ulcer or diabetes, a sodium-restricted diet, heart disease, recent heart attack, or irregular heartbeat (Nicotine can increase heart rate).
Discontinue using nicotine gum and consult your doctor if: You experience irregular heartbeat, chest pain or leg pain occurs or if severe persistent stomach upset develops; you develop symptoms of overdose including nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, cold sweat, dizziness, disturbed hearing and vision, mental confusion, rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing and weakness; if you have difficulty reducing the quantity of gum.
Do not use for more than 6 months without consulting a doctor.
Known adverse effects: Hiccup, stomach problems, heartburn and weight gain.
Chewing the gum may cause dental fillings to loosen or aggravate other mouth, tooth and jaw problems.
