Acetazone Forte C8

Uses

Acetazone Forte C8 is an analgesic and muscle relaxant.

Dosage/directions for use

Adults and children 12 years or older: 1 or 2 tablets every 6 hours as required.

Important: Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.


Ingredients

Each tablet contains: 300 mg of acetaminophen, 250 mg of chlorzoxazone and 8 mg of codeine phosphate.


Storage

Keep the bottle tightly closed.

Protect from light and store between 15°C and 30°C.

KEEP OUT OF THE SIGHT AND REACH OF CHILDREN.


Precautions

Do not use if security seal is broken.

Caution: This product contains codeine and should not be administered to children except on the advice of a physician or dentist.

This package contains enough drug to seriously harm a child.

Do not use with other drugs containing acetaminophen, chlorzoxazone, codeine or other opioids.

Do not take more than the recommended dose unless advised by your doctor. Use the smallest effective dose.

Do not take if you are allergic to acetaminophen, chlorzoxazone, codeine or other opioids.

Do not take if you have difficulty breathing, asthma or other chronic lung disease, have suffered head injury, are at risk of blocked intestines or suffer from seizures.

Do not take if you are in your last trimester of pregnancy or nursing. Codeine may cause serious harm to a breastfed baby.

Ask a doctor or a pharmacist before use if you: Have a serious liver or kidney disease, are pregnant, are taking other medications that can make you sleepy or less alert (for example, narcotic analgesics or sedating antihistamines), or you are currently taking anti-depressants, other prescription drugs or natural health products, salicylates or other pain and fever relief medications (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)) or 3 or more alcoholic beverages per day, or if you have recent had surgery under general anesthesia.

Consult a doctor if: You develop allergic reactions such as wheezing, rash or itching, feel sedated or drowsy, confused, have shallow breathing or have severe constipation or your symptoms last more than 5 days.

In case of overdose: Call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms such as increased sweating, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or loss of appetite.
