Immunization and injections for pharmacies

Expand the scope of your practice with a range of immunization and injection services.

With provincial legislation that enables pharmacists to administer various immunizations and injectable drugs, your opportunities for patient care and business expansion continue to grow.

At Teva Canada, we offer the programs to help you develop skills and feel confident providing the advanced practice of immunization and injection services. Our sponsored continuing education training offers professional development opportunities for pharmacists and pharmacy staff, while our “Beyond Flu” resources combine accredited continuing education with the tools and patient resources to ensure your pharmacy becomes top-of-mind for patients’ immunization needs.

Teva Canada is pleased to offer our customers a special promotional rate when registering for Pear Healthcare’s Immunization and Injections Training Program. To take advantage of this offer, simply use promo code TVAPROMO when you register on the Pear Healthcare website, HealthELearning.ca.

You can view all upcoming workshop dates on the Pear Healthcare website here.

To be eligible, you need to be registered as a pharmacist in Canada in order to access the National Injectable Medication and Vaccine Administration program, which you can do provided you’re within six months of graduating from an accredited program and have a Canadian pharmacy licence number.

The modules can be done at your own pace, as long as you complete them all before the scheduled workshop date.

The Pear Healthcare Immunization program is approved as a national program for pharmacists and is recognized by all of the provincial/territorial regulatory bodies. If you’re moving to a different province or territory, you’ll need to notify the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., the Ontario College of Pharmacists) and meet any additional requirements to become certified to inject medications there.

If you have any questions about registering for this program or need technical support, please email hello@healthelearning.ca.
