Glycerin Suppositories - Adults

Uses

Glycerin Suppositories are a laxative for the relief of occasional constipation.

Dosage/directions for use

Directions: Remove suppository from aluminum foil and gently insert first the narrowest part of the suppository into the rectum. Allow 15 minutes to 1 hour to produce bowel movement.

Adults and children 6 years and older: 1 suppository per day.

Important: Do not take within 2 hours of another medicine as the desired effect of the other medicine may be reduced.


Ingredients

Each 2.65-g suppository contains: 90% glycerin USP.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Purified water, sodium hydroxide
and stearic acid.


Storage

Protect from heat.

Store between 15oC and 30°C.

KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.


Precautions

Do not use if foil is torn or open.

For rectal use only.

Do not use for more than 7 days.

Consult a doctor promptly in case of bleeding and if condition persists or worsens.

Discontinue use and consult a doctor if rectal discomfort or a burning sensation occurs.

Do not use in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting.

Do not use if you have rectal irritation.
